On January 8, 2019, in the exhibition hall of Jiaxing Hongfeng Machinery Co., Ltd., a castings grinding robot designed by Shang Tao, professor of Electromechanical Engineering College of Jiaxing University, appeared. Since September 12, 2017, Jiaxing College and Jiaxing Hongfeng Machinery Co., Ltd., chairman of Jiaxing Foundry Industry Association, signed the agreement of "school-enterprise cooperation". Through school-enterprise cooperation, we independently developed an automatic grinding robot for castings. In November 2018, we completed the installation and commissioning of the robot in Hongfeng Machinery Equipment Workshop and put it into production.

Intelligent casting grinding robot can grind each industrial part according to the prescribed size flexibly and freely in a closed work bin, which can ensure the consistency of processing. In addition to polishing parts of multiple specifications through intelligent systems, the R&D team has also implemented a holistic closed negative pressure dust suction in the polishing operation area, and dust is sucked back to the dedusting system through negative pressure. Replacing manpower with robots not only reduces industrial costs, but also keeps workers away from the dust-laden working environment, thus realizing the "win-win" of safe and efficient development of the company and workers'physical and mental health.
